Job interview

I’ve mentioned a couple of times before about this guy who is founding an independent diplomatic consultancy outfit. We had a long chat this evening and if he can get the funding – which will take several more months to establish – I’m on board. all good stuff.

The amusing thing is that thanks to a timezone malfunction, I arrived at his house an hour early and only realised this literally as I was about to press the doorbell. Fortunately I remembered I had an old friend who lived about ten minutes walk away, and was able to spend a few minutes catching up with her (and her husband and kids, who I hadn’t met before) before heading back to my dinner/job interview.

So, no immediate development but sounds promising.

  1. That’s definitely not the case for all of those involved in the current review. It might be true of some Tories, can’t say, not met them.
