Kosovo

Drove from Belgrade to Pristina yesterday. 360 km; I did 275, my colleague did 85 (though in fairness he did the worst bits of the road). Long stoppage at border as the guards were changing shifts.

Hot; slow internet connection; eight important meetings today, and the same tomorrow.

  1. I see it as basically SF, not just because of the gadgets, but the premise: “mind on strike”, a “What if?” combined with “If this goes on.” Also the stylization, exaggeration of the events.

What’s confusing and fascinating, is the pace and focus: decades long romance. Someone called it a ‘bodice-ripper’, except it’s the heroine who keeps loving and leaving a succession of devoted men.
