This and the photo set it comes from remind me of something I keep forgetting; ordinary domestic interiors are amongst the most interesting historical photos, and yet people persist in taking huge numbers of photos of people, and of buildings that don’t in fact change that much over time. When we went through my father’s cine film (must sort that out I realise), there was huge amounts of baby footage, but hardly any of long-dead elderly relatives or of interiors.
