Set of short stories by this Protestant writer from rural County Cork, mainly depressing tales about Protestants in rural County Cork (you should write about what you know, as Anne always says). Reminded me how glad I am to have moved away from Belfast. But easy reading.
Thank you for that link to Many writer have all the virtues of civilized persons. I agree, his take on the issue is thoughtful and well reasoned as were many if not all of the comments.
Per me: Much of what she wrote reminded me of the line (too)oft heard, in the 60’s, ‘But some of my best friends are Negroes.’
