  1. There’s a scene in the 1986 Hong Kong Film Shanghai Express in which two convicts are trying to use a railway track to cut the chain that binds them. They loop it over a rail and lie down waiting for the train. Which then comes to a stop with a wheel precisely on top of the chain, pinning them in place on the embankment. It’s such a simple sight gag, but it gets me every time.
    And there is always Laurel and Hardy and the piano.
