If I was young, free and single, I would now be calling my countries’ foreign ministries (the joys of dual citizenship) to see if I could get a place as an international election observer in the repeated second round of presidential elections in Ukraine. As it is, of course, it’s going to be on December 26th and I have three small children and a wife who will (quite rightly) demand my presence at Christmas. But seriously, folks, they are going to have real difficulty finding intelligent and motivated people who want to observe this crucial election to make sure it goes right.
