I am still amazed how good The Enemy of the World is. The Web of Fear is roughly what I expected – after all, it is the template for much of what Doctor Who would become over the next couple of years, and it influences the show up to the present day. But the Enemy of the World was a huge surprise for me, and so much more than I expected. A genuine treasure, and a great example of Patrick Troughton at his height in the role.
