A fixup collection of essays about being black online in the age of Black Lives Matter and COVID, not to mention all the other racist violence taking place in the USA. I have known the author since we were both on Livejournal twenty years ago (I almost get mentioned at one point when he writes about writing about the Balkans) and have enjoyed his fiction a lot; I’m not however much of a gamer, so some of the core elements of his human experience somewhat passed me by.
