I was able to leaf through these in a bookshop last month, and they are all brilliant – particularly the introductions.

James asks, "Who's been saying the Hugo process is corrupt?" I think the answer to the question is, nobody – apart from the voices in some people's heads. See much slapfighting in comments.
The Left Hand of Darkness was the first Le Guinn I read. It was back in the early 1970s and I just loved it. While I remember the gender shifting I was more fascinated with the politics. I think Le Guinn was able to present commentary about sexuality without making it a big issue and while telling an effective tale of politics and intrigue. The ending was a great reveal in my mind but I won’t say any more here in case I spoil the story for others.
Definitely an excellent book.
I hadn’t realised it had drawn with Rendezvous with Rama, another one of my favourites.
