I am ridiculously excited about this film.

19th century telegraph code (some of this is difficult to take seriously).

The fifth is of general applicability.
I’d agree with this (and about Verity Lambert and the Drahvins). I followed the blog for a while, but gave up eventually. He makes some good points, but they are often buried under factual inaccuracies regarding Doctor Who and the wider world (or opinion presented as fact), as well as a tendency to confuse aesthetic choices, political opinions and personal moral worth.
For example, I disagree with his presentation of John Wiles as sexist, racist and reactionary and note that while he spent much time attacking Wiles for these alleged offences, his post on Monty Python’s Flying Circus says nothing about the group’s frequent sexism and occasional racism and homophobia (which struck me immediately on returning to the episodes for the first time in a long while a few months ago) – it’s an irritating of fan habit of playing favourites so some people can do no wrong and others no right.
