Hmmm, I forget whether it was episode 2 or 3 where I gave up on Miracle Day and you almost tempt me into actually watching the rest of it at some point. Except that while I appreciated Children of Earth as SF, I can’t say I actually enjoyed it because it was rather too bleak and uncomfortable for me, so I doubt I’ll manage to summon the enthusiasm given all the alternatives available to me*.
Still, an interesting summary, and I agree with your ‘when it was good, it was very good, but when it was bad, it was very bad’ point, with the exception that I thought at least one episode of New Who was just as bad (I can’t speak for old Who because I’ve actually seen very little of it).
*I finally started the last Niccolo book last night and am currently rewatching both Buffy and Angel.
