Funny enough, for once our reading has almost overlapped, as I read this one a week or so ago!
My feeling was that it was okay and the computer stuff has actually aged rather better than Kate Orman’s Blue Box, which I also read fairly recently.
However, I did feel that the story would have worked much better as a 7th Doctor story – the 4th Doctor just didn’t seem to quite fit the type of story somehow.
