I see that the hand of history has fallen on Brian Cowen’s shoulder. He has been seen in dubious company before now!

  1. I joked at Eastercon that Europe, all of it, was properly West Asia, or West Eurasia if you want to call the big continent Eurasia. The Russian lady I was talking to didn’t see the funny side, so I think I accidentally stepped on a cultural sore point.
