Up early to catch my flight to Belfast via Manchester, and discover as I am about to leave the house that I have got the time of departure wrong by an hour.
Fortunately, the flight is an hour later than I had thought. That is the right way round.

My favorite Alt-Tolkien bits are the ones at the end of LotR where he had different endings including a duke-it-out with the Witch-King. For something that’s treated by some fans as holy writ, it’s amazing to see just how wildly different it could have been.
