I think any extraterrestrial-origin politicians would either have to FIRST convince the legislature to accept them as *people* in all senses of that word and to amend the law to that effect explicitly, OR would have to hide their ET origins just as gay politicians used to (and I have no doubt sometimes still do in a lot of districts).
