"it is my great regret to inform you that Atlas Shrugged: Part I is neither good nor good-bad, but bad-bad-bad-bad. I dreamed, not of sesame chicken, but of my own swift and merciful death, and that of the director, not necessarily in that order."

The headline slightly exaggerates – she was basically doing work experience with her MEP. And I'm aware of at least one professional interpreter at the European Parliament with a serious visual impairment – an Irish bloke who sometimes gets the same train as me – and would not be surprised if there are many others. But in any case it's a nice story.
The Storify link about EU comms reminds me of my days working in internal comms. We’d get non-comms people like engineers or call centre people to write articles for internal newspapers because it was more interesting reading than just straightforward official comms all the time.
However the non-comms people’s articles were always edited before publication; not to remove their voice, but rather to remove typos and ensure clarity. Comms is only useful if it can be understood.
