1. I admit I selected the quote after I had read the story rather than before: I think it sums up the sassy, sardonic attitude of this young woman who has managed to produce a poverty-line cookbook despite the best efforts of the state to keep her and her child in penury. But I can see that out of context it may not say that to everyone.
