Japan is focussing on the stories that concern it: China’s opposition to it getting a permanent Security Council Seat, China complaining about Japan’s focus on its abducted citizens impacting on the 6-party talks with North Korea, and comments on Japan’s poor handling of confidential information. However, Japan’s FM Seiju Maehara has stated that:
“They stole information from others and released it without permission. The government has authority over the release of classified documents and we should in no way praise those thieves”
