I love the Outlander series. I’m reading the latest one at the moment 🙂
I’d say (and I think Diana Gabaldon has said too) that it’s as much historical adventure as romance.
This is what I wrote three years ago when I’d just read the first one: “Very gripping and hard to put down. The first three-quarters were pretty much flawless. Time travel, rousing adventure, likeable characters, hot sex, genuinely funny moments, and an intensely moving climax. I am less convinced by the final quarter. But I still want to read the rest of the series.”
