well… it’s one of my favorite books. in fact, dane pushed it on me as a “gateway drug” into pratchett. he knew i admired neil gaiman. however, i’d repeatedly told dane i wouldn’t read pratchett because i’d given up on fantasy. (and i had it in my head that all fantasy was quest fantasy and that pratchett would be piers anthony–that is, not good or funny.) dane crowbarred “good omens” into my reading stack, thank goodness, and i loved it. however, my favorite pratchett is probably “night watch” and my favorite gaiman is “neverwhere.”
